On 1 May 2012, the National Heart Forum launched the new GLOBALink online network for the tobacco control community. If you were not aware of this change in service, you can read the announcements, frequently asked questions (and more) on www.globalink.org or www.panacealink.org/globalink

GLOBALink has provided ongoing support to those working in tobacco control with news, research information and peer support through discussion forums. We continue to provide these successful services and we have also launched a Repository of resources, tools, case studies etc. which the community members can also upload resources to. There are also other new features. The website uses new technology to deliver information to the user providing you with a choice of how you access information, e.g. via your mobile etc.

We are inviting existing GLOBALink members to re-register on the website in batches over the next week, each member will receive a unique email to them asking them to do so on a special registration page. If you have not received an email by 8 May 2012, please contact us on globalink@heartforum.org.uk .

New people who wish to join, will be able to do so from Tuesday 8 May 2012 on the website. The eligibility criteria will be provided on the registration form.

If you are also interested in physical activity and nutrition, you can also join PANacea. Both GLOBALink and PANacea are available on the same platform. All our information service are free to access.

We look forward to seeing you on our sites!
