CALL FOR PAPERS: Environmental Studies
Atlantic Publishers & Distributors based at New Delhi in India will soon publish Environmental Studies and Development Studies edited by Dr KR Gupta and Dr Prasenjit Maiti et al. You are requested to kindly contribute your original and insightful paper(s) to this multi-volume book series and oblige. Previously published papers can also be considered if the contributors can obtain republication consent on their own accord. The decision of the Editorial Board with regard to acceptance of papers shall be final. There is no deadline as such.
Please send your paper(s) and Brief Biography (following my Model Biography*) in MS Word as e-mail attachments to the Editor/Publisher Dr KR Gupta at and inform me about the title(s) of your paper(s) once you have submitted the same. An Executive Summary, Key Words and Endnotes shall have to accompany each paper.
The paper(s) can focus on any aspect of environmental development and may seek to conjoin issues / concerns of sustainable environmentalism with the contributors' respective areas of academic expertise. The length of paper(s) is not limited. Please circulate this Call for Papers among research associates who may be kindly interested to send their valuable submissions for this multi-volume book series.
We are interested in papers that focus on areas such as environmental economics, human ecology, political ecology, arsenic pollution, industrial pollution, air / water / noise pollution, groundwater depletion, soil contamination, solid waste management, joint forest management, water resource management, watershed conservation, rainwater harvesting, water supply and sanitation, rural and urban environmental management strategies, industrial effluent management, natural resource management, environmental ethics, awareness campaigns, activism and advocacy, healthy cities and sustainable environment.
Each contributor shall receive a complimentary copy of the book while joint authors shall receive only one copy (for the First Author) from the Publisher. Co-authors can obtain a copy of the Volume containing their paper(s) at fifty per cent discount on the printed price of the Volume and free packing and postage by Registered Post / Courier anywhere in India against advance payment by Bank Draft payable at New Delhi (INDIA) in favour of M/s ATLANTIC PUBLISHERS AND DISTRIBUTORS (P) LTD. Postage will be borne by the person ordering the book if it is to be sent outside India .

Dr Prasenjit Maiti is a political sociologist. He taught at the Department of Political Science of the University of Burdwan, India before joining the Development Sector. He was on secondment as a Doctoral Fellow at the Institute of Federalism of the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. His first book focused on the theories of good governance while his second book dealt with development discourses. His present research interests include civil society, social capital and the politics of development.
