US: Cigarette ads increase smoking among teens

Increased exposure to cigarette advertisements in convenience, liquor, and small grocery stores is linked to higher smoking rates among teens, according to a new study. The study found that teens who visited stores with more cigarette advertisements, and at a higher frequency, were 11% more likely to start smoking than the group average.
