Belize: Smoking banned in public places
New laws banning smoking have been approved by the government. The Protection from Exposure to Tobacco Smoke laws will require "no smoking" signs be displayed publically and will ban smoking in all government buildings, schools, private businesses with public access (lobbies of banks or hotels) and public transportation. Restaurants must indicate separate smoking and non-smoking sections. Public awareness and education activities are also part of laws. Caribbean News Now!
